This "Kazuki" side chair or occasional chair was designed by Kazuhide Takahama for Simon Gavina International in 1969 in Italy.

Kazuhide Takahama (Nobeoka, 1930 – Bologna, February 10, 2010) was a Japanese architect and designer. Born in 1930, he studied architecture in Tokyo and after graduation, he joined Kazuo Fujioka's studio.In 1957, he came to Italy to oversee the architectural setup of the pavilion through which Japan participated for the first time in the XI Triennale di Milano, where he met the designer and entrepreneur Dino Gavina (1922-2007) with whom he began a professional collaboration that would last a lifetime. In 1968, Gavina sold his company Gavina SPA, along with its plant in Foligno designed by Achille Castiglioni, to Knoll International, and together with Maria Simoncini (1927-2010), he founded the manufacturing company Simon International (later acquired by Cassina). The following year, they opened the exhibition and commercial center in Bologna named after Marcel Duchamp, with the participation of the famous Dadaist painter and photographer Man Ray.

Very rare Uchiwa wall lamp designed by Ingo Maurer in 1973 and produced by his own light production company M Design in Munich, Germany. The lamps were hand made from a bamboo handle and rice paper. Uchiwa is Japanese for fan. The wall lamp is in near perfect condition, no tears, splits or holes. They are notoriously difficult to repair. Beautiful wall scone that gives off a warm light and creates a cosy ambience. This is the smaller and rarer version of the two sizes that were produced.

Screw less construction with aluminium cast joints. With its distinctively rounded edges and curved backrest, it was the first chair to be patented with Dietiker’s unique screw less wood-to-metal connection and has become one of the most successful Swiss chairs of all time. Very sturdy and well maintained vintage dinging table in solid pine made in the 1970s. Round - 120 cm diameter. Two extension leaves of 50 cm each included. When fully extended the table measures 220cm and sits 10 people or more. The heavy metal runners make it easy to extend. The wood shows a beautiful grain with only minor traces of use. Beautifully crafted dining table.

A wonderful dining set of solid beech (possibly alder) chairs and an extendable table with wheels. The chairs can be stacked. The table has a diameter of 120cm and comes with two extension leaves of 30cm each. The entire set has been fully restored and brought back to its former 1960s / 70s glory. The furniture have been produced by the Austrian company Team7 who are still going and pride themselves for only using locally sourced and sustainably grown wood.

A pair of vintage cantilever chairs made in the 1970s. Very comfortable and sturdy construction from tubular steel and strong woven rattan. There is one small break in the rattan.

Extremely comfortable and heavy lounge chair designed by Gilles Lundgren for IKEA, Sweden 1970s. The chair has three adjustable levels just like a deck chair. The frame is made from solid pine and the seat is a firmly padded beige canvas. This chair is in near mint condition. Perfect for the conservatory or the Scandinavian interior.

Ladderax modular three-bay shelving unit with four white metal uprights, 11 teak shelves, a three-drawer and a storage unit with wooden sliding doors. Designed by Robert Heals and produced by Staples, Cricklewood London, UK between 1963 and 1987.

The ladders lean against the wall allowing approximately 16cm of skirting board clearance. They have been newly powder coated.

We also have a pair of glass doors for the storage unit in stock.

Metal rods are hung between the rungs of the ladders. The shelves and cabinets slot firmly onto the rods.

Each ladder measures 201 x 35 cm.

Each shelf measures 89.5 and 59.5 x 35 cm.

Ladders and shelves are in excellent condition with some minor traces of use. The drawer shows some scratches that could easily be removed.
